About the Census 2026

The 2026 NC Adult Day Services Census is being conducted by the NC Adult Day Services Association (NCADSA), a nonprofit trade association. NCADSA has been working together since 1978 to promote the availability, accessibility, quality and cost-effectiveness of adult day services in North Carolina.

Please help us help your business by completing a separate census record for each adult day center site your organization operates. Your responses are confidential and will be combined with all responses to create a summary report to be distributed to each respondent.

How can my center participate in Census 2026?

Use the PDF copy to help gather data, then complete the online census. Please complete one census record per facility. You can save your responses and return later to complete the Census. You are not limited to the number of times you can log in. Please complete the survey by May 8, 2026.

Our center has been operating less than a year.

Complete the questions that can be answered now, such as those about the program structure. Set up systems for tracking information for future data-informed decisions.

What if my center operates multiple sites or has a parent organization?

Please complete one census record per facility.  If the center operates under a parent organization or operates multiple sites, include ONLY the portion of the participants, staffing, revenue and expenses relevant to this site.

Some of the questions are not tracked by my organization.

Use the information and metrics that are most readily available in your system.  You may be able to complete only some questions, so “do not know” and “do not track” are valid answers.  Consider tracking the new information for future data-informed decisions.

Will the information be shared?

Your responses are confidential and will be combined with all responses to create a summary report to be distributed to each respondent. The summary report may be shared with stakeholders such as funders, legislators, researchers and other adult day services supporters.

Our center is a PACE model.

PACE centers are certified as adult day health centers, and we recognize them as an expanded care model with different funding. Therefore, PACE center responses will be combined to create a summary report for comparison and contrast.
