National Adult Day Services Week is the perfect time to celebrate the Care, Connection & Community that make adult day centers an important resource for adults who need supervised daytime care. The week was first proclaimed by former President Ronald Regan: read the proclamation here.
There are 92 certified adult day centers in North Carolina across 45 counties. Adults age 18+ can be served in adult day centers according to North Carolina laws. Centers are certified annually by the NC Department of Health and Human Services, and monitored monthly by the county departments of social services. Health centers are also monitored by county health departments.
